DUBLINER Melanie McCabe was hoping it was fourth time lucky tonight when she auditioned on X Factor.
The 19-year-old from Dublin was gutted in previous years to be sent home, she even made it to the judges houses, only to be eliminated by Kelly Rowland in Miami.
Last year, a performance of the Simon and Garfunkel song, ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water’ saw her receive high praise from the judging panel.
Louis Walsh told her: “Melanie you were so disappointed last year; I know you were. You’ve done it." However, despite Gary Barlow praising her performance as 'extraordinary', she was sent home.
However, tonight she returns to the X Factor for the fourth time and gives a show stopping rendition of Rihanna's 'Diamonds'.
Louis Walsh is seen again saying to her: "I know you've got the talent. And I really, really want you to do well."
The Irish judge becomes emotional, telling his fellow panelists including Sharon Osbourne and Gary Barlow that Melanie really deserves the chance to go through to the second round.
Melanie from Whitehall in Dublin, reveals that her life was "totally pulled apart" when she was rejected at judges' houses by Kelly Rowland, saying: "My dream had been crushed into a million little pieces."
