AMERICAN Idol auditions were dramatically halted yesterday after a heated argument between judges Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj.

The two judges, who were reported to have called a truce, engaged in a heated argument over a contestant’s audition.

However auditions had to be prematurely ended after producers failed to calm down the rowing divas.

A video from a mobile phone leaked to TMZ of the altercation. Minaj is heard to say to Carey: “So every time you patronize me, I'm-ma take it back, and if you've got a f**king problem, handle it.”

She continued: “I told them I'm not f**kin' putting up with her f**king highness over there. Figure it the f**k out. Figure it out.”

She then told the ‘Hero’ singer: I'm not gonna sit here every f**king minute to have you come down and harass me every minute every day.”

Carey doesn’t react to Minaj’s foul mouthed rant until the end of the video, however her comments are inaudible.

Carey was known to have not wanted Minaj on the panel, on the understanding she was meant to be the only female judge.
