Ice, Ice baby – Jedward set to join ‘Dancing on Ice’
JEDWARD are being lined up to compete on the new series of ITV show dancing on ice – however the boys will have to split and compete separately.
Producers have told the boys that they must compete against each other as separate participants, as there is no way for them to compete together.
If the Lucan duo make it to the show it will be their third reality show – they shot to fame on X Factor in 2009 and joined the celebrity big brother house following their successful 8th place at the 2011 Eurovision in Germany.
The twins’ place is not guaranteed however, as producers test a number of contestants before deciding on those who will make it to the final list.
The boys are wanted for their energy and unpredictability; however there is concern among show bosses as to how separating the twins may affect their bubbly nature.
A source told The Sun: “Producers are really keen on Jedward taking part as they think they will bring a lot of energy – not to mention madness – to the ice. Producers will have to decide whether they want them or not”.
The twins have a successful record in public votes – They finished 6th on the X Factor and 3rd on Celebrity Big Brother.
It was also revealed by Eurovision organisers that despite finishing in 19th place on the combined Jury and televote at this year’s competition in Azerbaijan, the boys finished in 10th place on the televote alone.
