Gok woks hard but doesn't cook up a storm

Style guru Gok Wan has moved away from advising us how to look good, to telling us how to cook good. So is it Wok Wan then?

Anyway, in Gok Cooks Chinese (Channel 4), he enlists the help of his restaurateur dad as he sets out to prove that Oriental cuisine is a doddle. Not just that, it's also "better than sex, shoes and handbags". Well, I suppose most things are better than shoes and handbags.

Then he sets to work in the kitchen. "Now I'm going to get my meat out," he tells us, before adding "I love saying that". You'll be glad to hear he doesn't get his meat out, but he does insist that with spring onion, garlic and ginger every dish "will taste amazing". If you say so, Gok.

What next? A fashion show presented by Gordon Ramsay?
