GARY Barlow could remain on the X Factor panel for another year – if producers can convince ‘Take That’ band mate Robbie Williams to join the show too.

Producers have been looking for a new addition to the panel to recreate the fireworks that used to exist between Louis Walsh and Simon Cowell when they were both on the show, according to The Sun.

Williams is known to be a huge fan of the show, regularly tweeting his views on the show – he backed Barlow’s nemesis Rylan Clarke on last year’s series.

It had been suggested that Barlow would be one of two judges axed from the panel, along with Tulisa, however producers will be keen to keep him should they sign Williams.

Despite producers plans to sign the two band mates, it is believed Simon Cowell is still insistent that Louis Walsh will still return, leaving Nicole Scherzinger as the only female on the panel.

Louis Walsh is reported to be just days away from being the first judge to officially re sign for the next series, his tenth, with a pay cheque of €860,000.
