FORMER Justice Minister turned TV presenter Nora Owen has met TV’s most famous Justice Judge Judy for a TV interview.
Nora Owen met the TV star in Dublin’s Four Season’s hotel earlier today for the interview, which will be broadcast as part of TV3’s Midweek show.
Nora took over at the helm of the show after Colette Fitzpatrick left to focus on other projects, including anchoring TV3’s main news bulletin, The 5.30.
The popular daytime TV justice was in Dublin when she found out the good news her show has been renewed in the US until 2017.
Judge Judy is one of the most popular daytime TV shows in the US, averaging almost 9m viewers daily.
She has also been a regular feature on TV3's daytime schedule.
70-year-old Judith Sheindlin is a retired Manhattan Family Court judge who began working on the show in 1996.
Her no-nonsense, tough-talking approach to disputes made her popular with viewers.
Although it is not an official court, the show’s participants sign a legally binding agreement agreeing to accept the outcome.
