Double jeopardy axe on The Voice
It was double jeopardy on The Voice as two acts from Team Tom and Team Will were voted off after a Saturday show that saw both line-ups perform with their coaches for the first time.
Will.i.am was forced to say goodbye to Frances Wood and Joelle Moses while Sir Tom Jones decided to axe Adam Isaac and the duo of Matt Clubb & Sueleen Fletcher following their live performances.
Ruth Brown, Leanne Mitchell, Jaz Ellington and Tyler James progress to the semi final, where they will be joined by the winners from next weekend's showdown between Team Danny and Team Jessie.
Sir Tom agonised over his decision after Ruth Brown went through on the public vote. He said: "Well, Adam was great, he's done everything I've asked him to do and more.
"The same thing with Matt & Sueleen - they've done everything I've asked them to do and even more, their harmonies were fantastic. And then of course, Leanne Mitchell with that voice. But I must say this, I must say this - you must take this as an experience, and go away stronger than you were when you first stepped in.
"Based on Saturday's performances, I must go with Leanne Mitchell."
Leanne gave a rousing rendition of Nina Simone's Put A Spell On You last night as well as singing Hit The Road Jack with the Welsh legend.
Over on Team Will, Jaz Ellington was voted through, after the singer overcame a vomiting bug which also affected Wood and Moses during the week and left the other contestants fearing they would also get ill.
Black Eyed Peas rapper Will.i.am was left to choose between the last three.
He decided to send through Tyler, whom he described as "Mr Cool" after his performance of Sign My Name by Terence Trent D'Arby and their group performance of Ray Charles' I Got a Woman, Kanye West's Golddigger and Depeche Mode's Just Can't Get Enough
