Former Queen of the Jungle Kerry Katona has skated off Dancing on Ice.

Judges Jason Gardiner, Robin Cousins and former Spice Girl Emma Bunton all opted to save presenter Jeff Brazier after a more impressive technical performance in the skate-off.

She was criticised by the panel earlier in the show for her defeatism and came bottom of the judges' leaderboard with just nine points.

Kerry earlier revealed she had booked a holiday with her children in anticipation of her exit.

Bidding farewell, an emotional Kerry broke down in tears as she said: "It's been more than a skating competition. I want to make a big thank you to the public, to each and everyone for voting and giving me that second chance. My kids are proud of what I've done."

She paid tribute to her skating partner Dan Whiston adding: "A a massive thank you to Daniel for all your've all been brilliant and I've enjoyed it."

Kerry received a mauling from the panel after giving a lacklustre initial performance. Jason said: "Tonight you proved unequivocally your skating is clearly on the endangered species list."

Robin added her progress had been "a tough struggle and I almost feel you've given into that," while Emma said: "I feel in your head you're already on the plane."

All eight celebrity skaters had to complete an ultimate skills test during the show, incorporating a step sequence, jump and spin into their routines. Nickelodeon presenter Laura Hamilton received the highest scored of 25.5 for her difficult routine.

Jeff scored 16 during his first performance. Emma called him the "dark horse" of the competition, adding: "If keep working hard, you'll make this competition very interesting".
