Cheryl gets £1.4m 'X Factor' row payout
CHERYL Cole has reportedly settled her legal dispute with producers of the 'X Factor' USA, Blue Orbit, as part of an out-of-court settlement following her very public exit in 2011.
It was claimed at the time that the singer's accent was difficult for some American listeners to understand.
However, according to unconfirmed reports in the US, the 30-year-old settled for £1.4m (€1.68m) in unpaid fees after she was let go from the show just three weeks into the job.
The Girls Aloud star had already been paid her £1.1m (€1.3m) fee for the first series of the show with the new settlement covering what would have been her salary for the second series along with styling costs and a £9,300-a-month (€11,100) living allowance plus expenses.
