'Big Brother' never bargained on twins -- Jedward enter celeb house
POP duo Jedward took the 'Celebrity Big Brother' house by storm last night in the first live show of the new series.
Weeks of speculation came to an end as the Dublin-born Grimes twins were the 10th and 11th entrants into the house.
They came after fellow contestants Kerry Katona, who sported a Jedward-esque quiff, actress Tara Reid and former bare-knuckle fighter Paddy Doherty, among others.
The crowds went wild when the brothers were announced and the terrible twosome gave their usual enthusiastic performance on the way in, bouncing around for the cameras in tiger-striped hoodies and panda shoes.
The brothers said that it looked like they would be fighting for hairspray in the house. The other housemates looked bemused by the pair's hair-raising arrival.
Ahead of their entrance into the house, manager Louis Walsh told the Irish Independent he was confident the twins would be a huge hit on the show, which airs on the British TV station Channel 5.
"I absolutely believe that Jedward can win the show," he said. "They'll win because there's nobody like them. They're all around Europe, there's talk about America next year, they're modelling in Japan -- it's crazy."
Jedward allegedly have a clause written into their 'CBB' contract that stipulates under no circumstances can their quiffs be cut off.
