Bernie Madoff’s daughter-in-law: "I’d spit in his face. I hold him responsible for killing my husband’
Last year her husband committed suicide under the strain of his father’s crimes, and now his widow has broken her silence to say she has nothing but hate for her father-in-law.
Stephanie Madoff-Mack has broken her silence and spoken to ABC News in America to talk about the swindling scandal that has seen her family rip apart.
Her husband, Mark hanged himself with a dog lead in their New York apartment last year, on the second anniversary of his father’s arrest.
Madoff-Mack, who was left to raise two children on her own said: “"My husband Mark took his own life and regardless of what you feel about my father-in-law and his monstrous crimes, Mark's children are innocent victims and this is tragic for them."
She reveals the Ponzi king has written to her from prison following her husband’s suicide, but she says she has nothing but contempt for the super swindler.
"I would tell him that I hold him fully responsible for killing my husband," Madoff-Mack reveals in the interview. " I'd spit in his face."
The widow has written a book: ‘The End Of Normal: A Wife's Anguish, A Widow's New Life,’ and her publisher is promoting the book as the first genuine account of the Madoff scandal from an insider. It will be one of the US’s biggest publishing events of the year when it is released later this month.
