Apres Match 'might not return' due to funding
THEY are the first team of soccer comedians. So you could imagine 'Apres Match' would have plenty of fun from the dream team of Martin O'Neill and Roy Keane as new Ireland bosses.
But key member Gary Cooke has revealed you won't see 'Apres Match' "taking the mick" out of Martin and Roy anytime soon -- if at all.
"I'm sure we would do the lads, if we do 'Apres Match' again, which I doubt. The reality is... it's up to RTE whether they have the funding," he said.
Gary and fellow Apres comedian Barry Murphy will not be doing soccer sketches when they return to TV screens tomorrow night for Irish Pictorial Weekly on RTE2 at 10.15pm
"Soccer's not really part of the show, it's more about Angela Merkel, Enda Kenny, Michael Noonan, Anne Doyle, Gerry Adams and the like," said Gary.
