IT’S like a modern version of the sound of music – if Maria had to audition for a TV talent show.

A 25-year-old Ukrainian nun has become an overnight sensation in Italy after her audition on the country’s version of ‘The Voice’.

Sister Cristina stunned the audience and judges with her rendition of Alicia Key’s smash hit ‘No One’.

All four judges turned their chairs – as Sister Cristina’s fellow nuns jumped up and down excitedly backstage.

Each of the judges in turn reacted in shock to discovering the powerful voice belonged to a shy nun.

As she finished her performance she won a standing ovation from the audience – as well as bringing some of the judges to tears.

Her audition has become a viral sensation – being viewed almost three million times since it was broadcast on Wednesday.
