Celebrity Big Brother fans rushed to the support of Trisha Paytas as she broke down on the show, begging to be allowed a washcloth to “scrub her butt”.

The American YouTube star also hit out at the housemates on the Channel 5 reality show on Friday night’s episode as she ran out of patience with their teases.

Speaking in the Diary Room, she exploded into tears and cried: “I can’t even wash my body properly … I just want a washcloth, it’s like I can’t even scrub my butt or anything.”

Already tipped as the public’s favourite to win after less than a week in the house, Paytas’ cries were met with a wave of sympathy from fans, with some even offering to provide a supply of flannels.

One posted on Twitter: “No washcloths? How can anyone live in those conditions? Poor Trisha,” while another demanded: “GET HER A WASH CLOTH GOSH DARN IT.”

It was clearly a frustrating day for Paytas, who received a serious gunge-ing during the Big Brother challenge, which saw the housemates split into two teams and try to match shocking revelations to the correct celebrity.

Covered in yellow goop, she cried out: “I don’t like anyone, I can’t get along with anyone … Maybe it’s just me, it’s probably me.”

Her comments have prompted predictions that she might quit the show, with one viewer commenting: “I have a bad feeling Trisha will walk”.

Paytas may find life in the CBB house gets even tougher next week after the housemates had all luxury food items unexpectedly confiscated – a punishment after some residents broke the rules by discussing their thoughts for the first eviction nominations.

Viewers also saw singer Sarah Harding talk about her relationship with former Girls Aloud bandmate Cheryl, telling Jemma Lucy that the pair had once been “like sisters” but have not spoken in some time.

:: Celebrity Big Brother continues on Channel 5 at 10.30pm on Saturday.
