With this new-found (most most likely short-lived) sunshine, one might be surprised but thoughts of hats are front of mind when it comes to accessories.
A not-so-trendy cap to wear on those low-sun, high winds jogs along the seafront may be an absolute necessity but it's the idea of breaking out the floppy wide-brimmed sun hat that thrills.
Yet, there are some that pay no heed to the weather conditions when it comes to choosing their head wear. Obviously, like indoor sunglass wearers, these people are celebrities that can (or think they can) get away with it.
5) Johnny Depp
First off - can you believe this man is 50?? Anyway... always the kooky character, Johnny is often known for donning a head piece when out and about - or even when not. Never mind the fact that it's probably covering up some greasy hair, this American actor hasn't earned a regular 'Sexiest Man Alive' for nowt.
4) Justin Timberlake
Ah trouser snake - my guilty pleasure. Coming a long way from his 'Mickey Mouse Club' and Britney Spears days, the 33-year-old singer with magic feet can leave his hat on all the time.
3) Pharrell Williams
Ever the pusher of fashion trends, having established himself as the go-to man for all things above the head, 'Rell has now apparently attempted to channel a bit of Nelly. Sporting a cartoon character plaster on his chin last night's Influential 100 Awards, this is a trend that just might not catch on.
The penchant this pint sized star had for crazy head gear knew no bounds in his musical hey-day. Maybe Jay-Kay's attachment got a little too much for Denise Van Outen who said her farewells. Maybe she took a hairband as a keepsake.
1) Boy George
This chameleon could always be spotted by his fantastic colourful hats. At 52, despite falling out of love of being in the public eye, George hasn't lost his love for his bowlers.
5) Cara Delevigne
The model with the attitude and the eyebrows. My advice: Keep the hat on.
4) Suki Waterhouse
Rising star Suki, who's also dating Bradley Cooper by the way, has recently revealed how she'd love to be the next Bond girl. Even if she has to emerge from the sea wearing a gold bikini, I reckon she should still keep a hat in the contract.
3) Cameron Diaz
A decent cover for her famous 'bad skin', I can completely empathise with Cameron on this front. Only so much though, in fairness, she's an absolute ride. With, without, on a surfboard, in a black sack - keep it up Diaz!
2) Paloma Faith
Eccentric songstress Paloma flies in the face of conventional norms - and I love it. Her hair looks absolutely fabulous on its own. But, with a hat, she is completely on trend. Or not - which is better.
1) Queen Elizabeth
The woman who is reportedly the hardest woman to capture on film - with the smallest stature and the constant hat-wearing. The head of the British monarch shows the rest of the ladies how its done.
