Woman suffers concussion and whiplash in another Ice Bucket Challenge fail

A 40-year old beauty salon boss has suffered minor injuries as a result of an Ice Bucket Challenge that went wrong.

In a similar fashion to the Irish teacher who got over 2m views for her Ice Bucket mishap, Amanda Davey from Merseyside injured herself running away after the water was thrown over her.

She can be seen in the clip running into her house and slipping on the tiled floors, knocking herself out "for a few seconds".

Medics told the woman she was "lucky not to break her neck", the Mirror reports.

The video went viral after being posted to the 'Ice Bucket Challenge Fails' Facebook page.

She posted "I'm fine after concussion and whiplash ... All for a good cause", adding "just remember, wet feet and tiled floors don't mix!"

Irish social media company 'in the company of Huskies' collated these statistics on the #IceBucketChallenge, which was the tearaway social media hit of the summer.

The Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association announced this morning that 1.4m has been raised for the charity since the start of the Ice Bucket Challenge trend. Over 1m of this was from the €2 text donation alone.

Text MND to 50300 to donate €2 to the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association (IMNDA).
