Walsall football club claim Twitter account was "hacked" after 'tweet and delete'

Walsall FC have claimed their official Twitter was hacked after an unsavoury tweet was sent out and then deleted.

Walsall football club played Wolves last night in League One and won the match 1-0.

Following the match, it is claimed that an abusive tweet was sent from the official club Twitter account, directed to the Wolves Twitter account.

Twitter user Paul Grimes tweeted a screenshot of the offending tweet, following which the Walsall Twitter account tweeted an apology, claiming the account had been "hacked".
