When two of the internet's most famous cats meet, the occasion has to be live-tweeted online.

Grumpy Cat and Little Bub are two of the best-known cats on the internet, and they met each other in real life for the first time in recent weeks.

The occasion was live-tweeted on social networking site Twitter and several videos were posted to the video-sharing app 'Vine' of the meeting.

Tardar Sauce, better known online as "Grumpy Cat", was awarded "meme of the year" at the 17th annual Webby awards.

Lil Bub starred in a documentary called "Lil Bub and friends", which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival 2013 and went on to win the Tribeca Online Festival Best Feature Film award.

Both cats rose to internet stardom after being 'discovered' on link-sharing website Reddit. They have 1.2m and 200,000 likes on Facebook respectively.
