#Toohottosleep: The funniest reactions to our heatwave last night
As Ireland and Britain were enveloped in the recent short-lived heatwave, it seems sleep proved evasive for some people.
Yesterday's temperatures rose to as high as 30 degrees in some areas. And last night, several weather stations inland in Ireland reported temperatures of 23 degrees last night.
The Mount Dillon and Muillingar weather stations both recorded temperatures of 24 degrees last night.
Through the night, and this morning, Twitter was alive with reactions from people who found it hard to sleep in the unusually high temperatures.

Dear 3 mosquitos that woke me up at two and had me hitting walls with the Radio Times for an hour. Flatter now. #toohottosleep— AlanWilliams (@Alan_L_Williams) July 20, 2016
