An Oklahoma teenager 'worked all summer' to provide over 1,076 Valentine's Day cards and chocolates for every girl at his school.

Dan Williams wanted every girl at Edmond High School, Edmond, Oklahoma to feel loved on Valentine' Day, so he 'worked all summer' to collect enough money to buy all 1,076 girls a Valentine's Day gift of a card and 'candy'.

Speaking to KTLA, Williams explained that he wanted the girls to "know that someone cares about them... that's the best feeling in the world I think".

The gifts were originally intended to be anonymous but Williams' identity got out. His school, whose mascot is a bulldog, has praised him online for the "spirit of a bulldog".

Student Molly Feigel told KFOR: "Even if it’s just for a day, it really means a lot".
