Ready for your close-up? New catwalk trend drenches models in ice cold water

These pictures from Hussein Chalayan's spring show illustrate that models must do whatever is asked of them.

In this case the seasoned fashionistas had to shed their lab coats and tolerate being drenched with icy cold water.

Just look at the facial expression on that poor model.

The British/Turkish-Cypriot fashion designer has twice won British designer of the year and is renowned for his arty fashion shows.

They are typically characterised by minimal sets and an air of suspense, incorporating elements of urban architecture, and elaborate structures.

In the shows the theoretical inspirations behind his garments are played out across the models bodies.

Rather them than us!
