This new 'spider viral' has gone too far.

Late last year a Vine video went viral which taught us that you should never poke unidentified balls of fluff - this one teaches us you should also never prod balls of twigs attached to trees.

Terrifying 'Spider Vine' video shows why you should never poke unexplained balls of fluff

This video shows an unidentified user poking what appears to be a ball of twigs, before it explodes and thousands of large, long-legged spiders come rushing out.

The apparently fearless user then pokes the bundle again, prompting fresh waves of spiders to explode out from the tree, towards the camera.

Viewers were not impressed with the footage, with one writing that the clip was her 'worst f**king nightmare' and another adding 'I just threw up in my mouth a little bit'.

The video has received over 15,000 likes and 15,000 shares on the platform since it was posted on the 4th of January this year. There have also been over 115,000 comments tagging arachnophobic friends to watch the clip and has been viewed over 4.3m times.
