Sophia Sandoval(3) was undergoing chemotherapy following a diagnosis of 'medulloblastoma' - a tumour in her brain.

The tumour was removed by surgery last summer and the toddler has been undertaking chemotherapy ever since in a bid to beat the disease.

Last Friday, Sophia was to have her last ever chemotherapy treatment and she dressed as her heroine, WonderWoman, to celebrate.

She was snapped holding a sign that read "It was tough, but I was tougher".

The image was posted to a charity Facebook page in aid of Sophia and then shared by a paediatric charity Page where it racked up 1,000,000 'likes'.

Speaking to Buzzfeed, Sophia's mother Rossio said that the image going viral was "a blessing" and the family hope it will "spread awareness of childhood cancer".

The woman who played WonderWoman, Lynda Carter, shared the image with the caption "A real-life little WW! Let's show her some love!"

You can donate towards Sophia's medical costs here.
