An Irishman in Las Vegas has caused a sensation by posting a hilarious ad online to sell his 'beaut' of a car.

Mark from Monaghan claims he has a “genuine reason” for selling his beloved Volkwagen Golf.

After two nights in Las Vegas, he’s “stone broke”. And he’s so desperate that he’s placed his chick magnet up for sale.

“Genuine reason for selling this beaut. I'm with the lads in Vegas and i'm stone broke. Thought I was Terrence Big Balls the first two nights and now I'm atein scraps.”

“The price of the dollar has my heart broke aswell!!”

“The cars a beaut and drives like a Porsche. She gets plenty of attention from the L-A-D-I-E-S aswell. One woman owner before myself who only ever drove her to the shop and back.”

“Looking for a quick sale. Call now.”

His sister Mairead told Ryan Tubridy on RTE's 2FM this morning that her “rascal” brother went to Vegas last week with his four friends for a stag on Friday night.

Mairead said she couldn’t believe it when she saw the ad, and described him as "great craic".

She said Mark, the youngest of five children and the only boy in the family, won’t be allowed to sell his car though. His family were wiring money to him to get their beloved joker out of the pickle.

"A good friend of his is over there and he's getting married so the stag night is on Friday night in Vegas. They were in Vegas for a couple of days and then they were driving in Nevada in the desert and they were heading to San Diego, and now they're heading back to Vegas for the stag night tomorrow night."
