An Irish teacher's Ice Bucket Challenge video has amassed over half a million views on YouTube thanks to an incident which viewers are calling a 'massive fail'.

Teresina Bell (35), from Drogheda, completed the Ice Bucket Challenge successfully before things went horribly wrong.

Freshly soaked from a large bucket of ice-cold water, Bell ran screaming into the house - only to run straight into the clothes line.

The video shows Bell crumple to the ground and stay there holding her head, following a sickening noise.

Speaking to the Star, Bell claims she was briefly knocked out by the impact.

"I was in shock and was worried I'd lose a tooth".

"I rang the doctor... and they said to keep putting ice on it - which I thought was ironic".

Bell, a Montessori teacher, is warning others of the 'dangers' of the Ice Bucket Challenge, saying that she's "thankful (her) injuries weren't too serious".

Bell got whiplash from the incident along with "two lumps" on her forehead which "were the size of golfballs".
