It would seem the Scots are big fans of us.

According to Pornhub, 'Irish' was the second-most searched term by Scottish users on their site for the year 2014, second only to the term 'Scottish'.

So it would seem they love us, but they love themselves just that bit more.

'Smoking', 'chav' and 'emo' also made Scotland's top 10, while the UK's most popular search term was 'mixed race'.

Ireland was the 4th most active country on the site, coming close behind the UK with 112 page views per head of population - to the UK's 115.

Monday was the most popular day to watch porn, with Friday being the least popular, and November was the busy month for UK viewers following a lull in March.

The average length of visit from the UK was just over 9minutes with Mississippi taking the crown for longest duration with just under 11 minutes. In Ireland, Dun-Laohaire Rathdown had the longest staying power with 9 minutes 12, with Cork bringing up the rear with a mere 9.02.

Dublin is the most active county on the site with Cork a not-so-close second.

79% of UK viewers were male and mobile viewing overtook desktop by 47% to 35%.

Traffic to the site dropped 9% during the Oscars, 7% during the Game of Thrones finale and 13% during the Superbowl.

In November, Kim Kardashian stole the number 1 "porn star" spot on the website following the release of her 'Paper' magazine cover, soaring past 93million views on her sex tape. She saw a 558% increase in search following her #BreakTheInternet release, beating her previous record increase of 212% on her wedding to Kris Humphries.

The most searched terms in Ireland in 2013 included 'teacher', 'babysitter' and 'Kim Kardashian'.
