Frog regrets getting too close to rocket ship headed for the moon

A photo has gone viral of what appears to be a frog being thrown off a rocket ship as it launches.

The photo by NASA has been shared on worldwide news media like Buzzfeed and the Huffington post.

The photo, which was snapped during a rocket launch in Virginia last Friday, shows what is believed to be a small frog flying through the air as the rocket launches.

The LADEE rocket stands for Lunar Atmosphere and Dust Environment Explorer and is a £180 million  mission to study the Moon's atmosphere.
