Footage of fox making a five-decker sandwich takes the Internet by storm Newsdesk Newsdesk

Footage of a fox in the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone picking up slices of bread and scraps of meat to make a sandwich has gone viral.

The clever animal surprised a radio crew who were in a restricted part of the Ukrainian city, was was evacuated in 1986 after a disaster in the nearby nuclear power plant.

The fox may have never encountered humans before and showed no fear when approaching the Radio Free Europe crew, who threw it some food.

At first, the animal started eating the meat straight from the ground, but then went on to make a sandwich so big it could barely fit into its mouth.

Despite the lack of people, there is said to be an increasing number of foxes, wolves and bears in the zone.

The clip has been viewed more than a million times on different social media websites.
