Empty seat filmed on BBC News as presenter reports to wrong camera
BBC News announcer Martine Croxall was about to begin a 9pm broadcast when it became clear she was in front of the wrong camera
News broadcasters are trained to act professional at all times, even when a hilarious situation arises.
On one BBC News 9pm broadcast this week, news announcer Martine Croxall was facing the wrong camera at the beginning of the programme.
Viewers instead got a shot of an empty chair.
Like a true professional, Ms Croxall kept her cool and said: "I'm just going to move back to the main set."
Coming into view, she said: "If I sidle in you can pretend like you haven't noticed."
