Gary Medel had an eventful day and evening in Manchester at the weekend when he relied on public transport to get home.

The Cardiff and Chile star was part of the team that went down 4-2 at the Etihad, a creditable result in light of the home form of the Citizens, but that wasn’t the full story for Medel.

He missed the team bus home and relied on the train to make his way back to Cardiff, much to the delight of his fellow passengers who were keen to get their picture taken with the Premier League footballer.

Medel purchased economy tickets and was happy to pose and sign autographs for those in the carriage.
