Bill Bailey fans rejoice - the comic has added a Galway date to his Limboland tour.

Bailey will play The Black Box Galway on September 10 - tickets on sale Friday May 15 at 9am.

The news comes on the back of the announcement he would play COrk on October 6 following three dates at The Olympia THeatre Dublin on October 1, 2, and 3.

His Irish run follows a 30 date Australian tour and will be first time Irish fans will see him live on stage in over three years since his multiple sold out dates at the O2.

The subject of the show is "the gap between how we imagine our lives to be and how they really are".

Here's what to expect:

"From his countless global travels, he recounts the hilarious saga of a disastrous family trip to Norway to see the Northern Lights.

He rails against a world that doesn’t match up to our expectations and contemplates the true nature of happiness.

And no Bill Bailey show would be complete without music, so we have Bill’s version of the protest song, a heart-rending country and western ballad played on a Bible, and a fabulously downbeat version of Happy Birthday."

'The Olympia draws the best hecklers and nutters' - Bill Bailey adds third 'Limboland' show due to demand
