Two of Michael Flatley's tap dancing artworks sell for €120k at art auction
Michael Flatley is Lord of the Auction.
The Lord of the Dance star is sure to be smiling today after two of his artworks sold for a combined total of more than €120,000.
The two pieces were auctioned at Morgan O'Driscoll's Irish and International Art auction at the RDS in Dublin yesterday evening.
According to the auction's website, his two paintings - 'The Power' and the 'Flight of the Quetzal' - sold for €77,500 and €44,000 respectively.
Flatley makes his art by tap dancing on canvass.
Works by renowned artists Louis le Brocquy, Dan O'Neill, Tony O'Malley, Camille Souter, William Crozier and Hughie O'Donoghue went unsold.
