Your children may well be over it by 2018 but that's when the Frozen stage show will finally land on Broadway.

The Disney phenomenon is the highest grossing animated film in history earning almost €1.3m worldwide.  It also bagged two Oscars for Best Animated Feature and for the song Let It Go.

The film charts the journey of Anna (Kristen Bell) as she joins forces with mountaineer Kristoff (Jonathan Groff) and his reindeer to find her sister, Snow Queen Elsa (Idina Menzel) and break her icy spell.

The stage show will reunite some of the team behind the 2013 film.  Writer Jennifer Lee and music maestros Kristin Anderson Lopez and Robert Lopez will work on the stage adaptation.

The set and costume designers - Bob Crowley adn Natasha Katz - who previously worked on Disney productions Aida and Tarzan will also come on board.

Casting has yet to be announced.

A sequel to the movie was announced in March last year.
