There will be plenty of smoke and mirrors as 'brain bendingly spectacular' magic show The Illusionists rolls into town.

The sleight-of-hand variety show began life in Sydney in 2012 and recently completed its Broadway run.

Seven illusionists take part in the stage show including 'The Weapon Master', 'The Deductionist' and 'The Manipulator'.

The performers have taken their inspiration from great illusionists and showmen of the past - such as Harry Houdini.

One of the highlights sees escapologist Andrew Basso, who will hold his breath for over four minutes whilst attempting to escape from his underwater cell.

The show features lots of bombastic rock music and is hosted by Colin Cloud.
