Love/Hate star Tom Vaughan-Lawlor is to return in Mark O'Rowe's 'Howie the Rookie' at the Olympia Theatre this November.

The play consists of two "interlinked monologues" by main characters Howie Lee and Rookie Lee, with both roles being played by Vaughan-Lawlor.

It has been billed as a "white-knuckle ride through a nightmare Dublin", where the most brutal events take on a mythic significance and black hilarity.

When the play first burst on to the stage in 1999 it took the theatrical world by storm. Following its success, O'Rowe wrote 'Intermission', which starred Colin Farrell.

This Landmark production of 'Howie the Rookie' will run at the Olympia from November 11-15 before heading to the Barbican in London.

Tickets from €25 including booking fee on sale now via Ticketmaster.ie, usual Ticketmaster outlets including The Olympia Theatre Box Office, and by calling Ticketmaster at The Olympia Phone Bookings on 0818 719 330.
