Age: 31.

Born: Derry.

Dazzled: Christina played violin and piano as a child but going to see Wicked in London’s West End changed everything. She knew that she wanted to sing and perform. “My mind was blown. I adored the spectacle. Once you’ve got the bug, you have to pursue it.” But she kept her dream a secret.

Law by day: Off she went to Bristol University to study law. While there, she got involved in the musical society — not an easy juggle. “You can’t breeze through a law degree.” Then, thanks to an Andrew Lloyd Webber scholarship, s he went to the Royal Academy of Music in London to study musical theatre.

Soaring: Soon she was getting parts in musicals — Once and The Commitments. This March, she will play Mrs Beaver, with those Narnia-bound children in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. She even plays the violin in the show. Nothing is wasted.

West End girl: Based in London since 2012, Christina is making waves. “You find out how the industry works. If you do good work and it gets noticed, you get more work. I love being on stage. I feel fulfilled.”

The stage adaptation of CS Lewis’s ‘The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe’ is at the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre in Dublin from March 15 to 19
