The ‘Wolf of Wall Street’ is coming to Ireland

Jordan Belfort – the real-life ‘Wolf of Wall Street’ – is coming to Ireland.

The businessman is hoping thousands of people will visit his seminar ‘The Truth Behind the Success of the Real Life Wolf of Wall Street’ at Dublin’s RDS.

‘Early Bird’ tickets for the event cost €50. The talk will last three hours, with Belfort promising attendees the “formula for success at creating wealth”.

Belfort has hit global headlines thanks to the film ‘Wolf of Wall Street’.

The Oscar-nominated film, which starred Leonardo Di Caprio and was directed by Martin Scorcese, was based on Belfort’s New York Times bestseller of the same name.

News of Belfort’s visit to Dublin was announced by the earlier today.

Belfort will be in Dublin on Tuesday, May 27th.

Leonardo Di Caprio said after meeting Jordan “He is a motivator without peer – there is nothing quite like his public speaking”.

In his twenties Belfort was earning more than 50 million dollars a year and whilst in venture capital raised over 1.5 billion dollars kick starting multiple companies from scratch.

The film, which has taken nearly $400 million at the box office, tells the tale of high financial corruption and wild living of Belfort at the height of his wheeling and dealing on the stock market.

He earned $40 million in a year at the age of 26 as the head of brokerage firm Stratton Oakmont, living a life of casual sex and cocaine before crashing down to earth after a conviction for securities fraud.

Belfort now has a successful post brokerage career as a highly in-demand motivational speaker, touring the world giving speeches to thousands.
