Their mentor may have been absent for their first live show of the series, but that didn't stop Sean and Conor Price from delivering the goods on tonight's episode of The X Factor.

The Blessington brothers performed a rendition of London Grammar's Stronger for the second live show, which saw Simon Cowell's groups and Nicole Scherzinger's Over 28s perform.

It was the second show in a row Cowell was forced to miss out on after he fell in his London home and was replaced by singer Alesha Dixon for tonight's episode.

The music mogul was taken to hospital after falling down the stairs in his house on Friday morning and was advised to sit out by doctors.

However, Sean (18) and Conor (15) did not let the setback deter them and they received glowing praise from judge Louis Walsh.

"It's unbelievable that you guys are so young and are so young. I can see you both with a recording contract. You're a very special act."

The pair are not allowed to live with their fellow contestants in the seven-bedroom X Factor house in London because Conor is only 15.

They are instead living separately in an apartment but are permitted to visit the house where their fellow contestants reside throughout the day.

"We're living in an apartment, I'm under 16," Conor recently said.

“We spend all day in the house, most of the time, we literally go back to apartment to sleep."
