Saturday Night Live has come under fire for its latest skit, featuring Dakota Johnson as a teenager about to join ISIS.

The iconic sketch show, which celebrated its 40th anniversary in February, last night aired a segment featuring the Fifty Shades of Grey actress, who was guest hosting.

In it, she and Taran Killam spoof the Super Bowl's Toyota Camry commercial about a teenager on their way to college.

After having a heart to heart with her onscreen dad, Dakota jumps into a truck with members posing as ISIS members and as Killam whispers: 'Take care of my girl', an actor responds: 'Death to America'.

The decision has polarised viewers' opinions.
