The station launched to much fanfare earlier this year, however has struggled to grow ratings outside its soap offering.
UTV Ireland boss Mary Curtis said the landscape shots used at launch were highly effective, but that the time was right for a change.
“We feel the time is right to reinvigorate our brand identity to reflect our audience”, she said.
Among the new images will be a tattoo artist, a dog groomer and a skater park in Dublin.
Two million viewers a week tune into the channel.
Despite critics praising its strong news offering, the Alison Comyn-fronted show has struggled to compete with the more established RTE and TV3 evening news programmes.
Last week the station announced that Pat Kenny’s ‘In the Round’ would not be returning for any further episodes.
