Y'all loved the Late Late Show Country Special - it drew biggest audience since Toy Show
Last weekend's Late Late Show Country Special drew the highest audience of the year with an average of 677,400 people tuning in on the night.
With a 52 per cent share it was the second most popular show of the year after the Toy Show which boasted a whopping 1.4m viewers.
The show kicked off with an ensemble performance of country stars singing Country Roads and names including Charley Pride, Charlie Landsborough, Daniel O'Donnell, Nathan Carter, Philomena Begley, Susan McCann and more took to the floor on the night.
“We had tremendous fun on Friday night," said Ryan Tubridy.
"The great and the good of Irish country joined us in studio for a very special night of music and chat. It's great that the folks at home enjoyed it in such big numbers. We look forward to celebrating the strength of country music in Ireland again next year.”
The last Country Special aired in October 2015 and drew a slightly higher audience of 707,400. However, the show also boasted interviews with Ireland rugby coach Joe Schmidt and Brooklyn star Saoirse Ronan.
