Would you let your parents choose your date? New Irish dating show seeking applicants (and the people who know them best)
'Old fashioned romance with a side of cringe'
Producers of a new Irish dating show are seeking applicants willing to put their love lives in the hands of their parents.
Pulling with my Parents is aimed at singles who are sick of the dating game and the constant merry-go-round of swiping, ghosting and disastrous dates, and who are willing to try a radical new (or rather old) approach.
Their parents will be given free rein to overhaul their dating profiles, perhaps ditching the sexy selfies in favour of something a little more sedate, in the hope of attracting a genuine mate.
They'll get a crash course in navigating modern-day dating methods while their adult children will play along with their more traditional solutions to finding a partner.
This might be an ad in the Farmer's Journal, a trip to the local GAA club, or maybe the neighbours have a niece home from Australia.
If this sounds like something your family would be up for you can apply by emailing dating@Alleycats.tv
The programme will broadcast on RTE later in the year.
