'What have they done to Bake Off?' - The first trailer has landed for Channel 4's new GBBO and it's a little bit creepy
The first trailer for the new incarnation of The Great British Bake Off has landed and it's a little bit creepy.
Those of us who adored the BBC version with Paul Hollywood, Mary Berry, Mel and Sue feared that new home Channel 4 would destroy its spirit and the new trailer doesn't exactly assuage those fears.
There is no sign of judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith or new presenters Noel Fielding and Sandi Toksvig.
Instead we're treated to a tonne of treats from profiteroles to croissants singing Paul McCartney and the Frog Chorus, We All Stand Together.
It's quirky and a bit creepy and not quite in keeping with the BBC vibe and fans are not happy with how things are looking for the series which debuts on Channel 4 later this year.
