Were you duped by this very emotional but entirely fake John Lewis Christmas ad?
Those of us who enjoy the emotional rollercoaster of Christmas advertisements have been waiting for the new John Lewis ad with the anticipation of a four year old on Christmas Eve.
Moz the Monster and his beautiful friendship with 7-year-old Joe is too adorable for words, but some people were fooled by another ad which purported to be the new offering from John Lewis.
The Fox and the Mouse was doing the rounds on social media in the hours before the real ad landed and many people were taken in by the emotional story.
The animated clips shows a fox and a mouse playing together on frozen ice before it cracks and they plunge under. The fox saves the mouse but remains trapped under the ice himself.
Queen's Save Me plays and it's all a bit heavy. However, while the ad features a John Lewis logo it's actually a project by the CGI department of the ESMA Art School in France and has been floating around YouTube since 2015..
