WATCH: X Factor's Sean Price gets a hero's welcome from football teammates back home after battling through bootcamp
Singer Sean is also a rising star with Cabinteely FC Under 19s
Sean and Conor Price may be battling through the rounds on X Factor but they haven't neglected their studies or football training back home.
On Sunday night's show the brothers were seen getting through a brutal bootcamp to make it to the Six Chair Challenge but despite their singing success they haven't neglected their studies or football training back home.
Sean (17) plays for Cabinteely FC Under 19s and at training on Monday night it was business as usual - after the rising star got a hero's welcome from his coach JP Kelly and teammates.
"All the boys have got really behind him and his brother, Whatsapp messages and all that banter going on, especially on a Saturday night over the last few weeks," coach JP tells Independent.ie.
"The lads fully support him and the club and the staff are all behind him and we’re pretty proud of him."
Sean has been treating the lads to a few tunes down the back of the coach coming home from matches and JP says, "As soon as we heard him singing we knew he was a talented boy."
He's also pretty talented at football and JP says he'll be missed if ever packs it in in favour of music.
"He’s a winger, an old fashioned winger and he’s fairly pacey and fairly direct down the line," he says, adding, "and the few bits of songs I’ve heard now he’s fairly fast at the rapping as well!"
However, if the last few weeks are anything to go by JP is not worried about Sean's dedication to the team.
"He's been over and back to England and he's very rarely missed training," he says. "He's a fairly dedicated boy, always, always at training."
Sean and Conor, who have honed their musical craft busking on Grafton Street in Dublin, made it through bootcamp on The X Factor despite Simon Cowell not liking their first song choice which was Beggin by Madcon.
They then sang Ed Sheeran's hit Sing and although Cowell said it wasn't his "favourite performance" of theirs they still made it through to the Six Chair Challenge.
They blew the judges away at their first audition and are hoping to do the same at the next stage of the competition.
The X Factor airs on ITV and TV3 at 8pm on Saturday and 7.30pm on Sunday.
