The ladies of Litchfield are back for the fourth season of Orange Is The New Black.

In the newly released trailer for the popular Netflix series events look like they have taken a turn for the worst.

The inmates are crammed inside as the prison begins its term as a for-profit organisation.

"It’s sardine time, b****es," Aleida (Elizabeth Rodriguez) announces.

And the new, no-nonsense guards have introduced stricter rules which add significant tension to a prison bubbling over with tension and drama.

"I've been in Litchfield for a while now and I have started to feel unsafe lately," says Piper (Taylor Schilling), with that unhinged look in her eyes.

Things are looking up for Taystee (Danielle Brooks) who has accepted a job as prison secretary and Daya (Dasha Polanco) is back on form with some serious attitude.

All 13 episodes will launch Friday, June 17 on Netflix.
