Cilla Black joked about dying in 2015 during an interview at the BAFTAs last year.

Black passed away at her Marbella villa on Saturday aged 72.  The cause of her death has yet to be determined but is thought to have been the result of a dizzy spell followed by a fall.

Speaking in the BAFTA Television Awards winner room after being presented with the Special Award 2014, Cilla spoke about the honour of receiving the award and having an ITV drama made about her life.

"My life is flashing before me," she said of the drama, which starred Sheridan Smith as the legendary showbiz star.  "It's a great thing, it's a great honour, as is getting the BAFTA, that somebody in your own lifetime plays you and Sheridan Smith is a BAFTA-winning actress herself.

"And I feel so honoured and so pleased and Jeff Pope did the script as well and he did the script to Philomena."

She then joked, "Maybe I should die next year" to which the reporter replied, "Don't say that!"
