The new series of Made in Chelsea kicks off on E4 tonight and it promises to be explosive right from the start.

Nine series in and there's no messing around as we catch up with the residents of London's most exclusive borough.

Irish model Nicola Hughes makes her debut in the promo for tonight's show on holiday in Barbados with new love Alex Mytton, former flame of Binky, who is clearly less than pleased to hear about their romance.

"I think I like her a bit more than Binks" he tells the lads, which is lovely since it's on camera, and Nicola then says, "It's funny that Binky wasn't invited".

Binky, back in London, says, "If she starts making a scene..." and you know at least one of them will, at some point, make a scene.

The competition for ladies heats up between Jamie Laing and Andy Jordan as they both pursue Jess Woodley.

Elsewhere, Stephanie Pratt and Josh Shepherd, who appeared to be love's young dream at the end of the last series, are struggling with cohabiting.

Stephanie ends up in tears and suggests they take "a break".  Josh doesn't appear to object.

And, surprise surprise, all is not well in the land of Spencer Matthews as his latest squeeze, the slighly smug Lauren Hutton, announces she's moving in because her house purchase fell through.

"I think I'm having a panic attack" says a terrified Spence to Jamie.

Made in Chelsea Series 9 starts Monday at 9pm on E4
