WATCH: Remember these retro Irish TV ads from the 60s, 70s, and 80s?
There's nothing like a little nostalgia to warm you up of a frosty Thursday morning.
The IFI Film Archive has restored and preserved hundreds of Irish TV ads from the 60s, 70s and 80s and they provide a real snapshot of Irish life from those decades.
From brands Tia Maria to Spar to Odlums to Yoplait they cover all areas of advertising; food, drinks, house and home, consumer goods and services, from companies including Wilson Hartnell and Birchall.
There are familiar faces including Terry Wogan selling Bovril stock cubes and the legendary David Kelly as well as plenty of hilarious hairstyles and some rather un-PC by today's standards scenes!
Rescued by the archive from damp warehouses the 8000 rolls of film have been painstakingly restored and are all available on the IFI player.
Be warned, once you dip in it's very hard to get out again!
