WATCH: Owner of #TheDress breaks honeymoon to address viral debate with Ellen DeGeneres
Nobody has been quite as bemused by the The Dress debate than US talk show host Ellen DeGeneres and such is her obsession she managed to persuade the owner to cut her honeymoon short to appear on her show.
However, she did reward her with $10,000 and a holiday to Granada for her troubles.
Scottish woman Cecelia Bleasdale, who bought the £50 dress for her daughter Grace's wedding, appeared on the show with son-in-law Keir to address the issue.
The mum and daughter's argument over whether the two-tone dress was white and gold or black and blue sparked a global viral debate with people tweeting their opinions with the hashtag #TheDress.
Cecelia revealed she has never seen the dress as gold and white and worried that there was "something wrong" with her brain since she was seeing the dress differently to Grace.
Grace, from Scotland, revealed her mum sent photos of three dresses and when she asked her which one she was talking about, she said the third one.
“I said, ‘Oh, the white and gold one? And she said, ‘No, the blue and black one’," revealed Grace.
“I said ‘No mum, that’s white and gold. If you think it’s blue and black you need to go to the doctors’.
"So we had a bit of a row.”
When Caitlin O'Neill posted a pic of the dress on Tumblr it went viral. She also appeared on the show to weigh in.
“We have been arguing about it for week. It had been tearing the community apart - we were losing our minds. I thought I’d put it on Tumblr, sometimes it is good for that sort of science stuff,” she said.
